A tired face is not always an empty one. A heavy jawline is not always fat. Puffiness may be fluid, tissue laxity or filler placed years earlier. Different causes can look remarkably similar from the outside — and they do not need the same treatment.
My approach starts with assessment. Where there has been previous filler, asymmetry or unexplained heaviness, I use high-frequency ultrasound to see what is actually in the tissue before deciding whether to add, dissolve, tighten or leave it alone.
The aim is not more treatment. It is the right treatment, in the right order — and sometimes no treatment at all.

Dr Shiva Faramarzi
I am a physician working in aesthetic, regenerative and longevity medicine in Dubai, with more than a decade of experience in aesthetic medicine.
My practice is broad by design. I work across facial assessment and contouring, injectables, thread lifting, ultrasound-guided treatment and filler complication management, laser-based facial and body treatments, hair restoration, and regenerative and longevity medicine.
That breadth matters to me because patients rarely arrive with only one isolated problem. Someone may come asking about their jawline and also have old filler affecting the lower face. Someone concerned about facial ageing may need skin quality addressed before more volume is added. A patient coming for hair loss or regenerative treatment may have hormonal, nutritional or lifestyle factors that need to be considered alongside the procedure itself.
I do not want to have one answer for every patient. I want to be able to look at the whole picture, understand what is actually driving the concern, and choose from a wider range of treatments — including doing less, changing the order, or recommending something completely different from what was originally requested.
Over the years, certain areas have naturally become a larger part of my work, particularly ultrasound assessment, facial contouring, endolaser, thread lifting and regenerative medicine. But the goal has remained the same: to offer patients a high level of care across the different problems they may bring to me, rather than treating each concern in isolation.

The three things that make this practice different
I look before I inject
High-frequency ultrasound shows what is already in the tissue: where previous filler sits, which layer it is in, whether it has migrated, and how much of your current shape is product rather than your own anatomy. It also maps the vessels in the area about to be injected. Very few clinics in Dubai scan before treating. It is the reason patients are sent to me when something has gone wrong somewhere else, and it is why I can say what is in a face rather than guess.
I treat causes separately, not as a package
I combine treatments when I can identify two different problems — not because combining more treatments automatically produces a better result. That rule decides most of what happens in my clinic. It is why I do not sell thread lifts in fours and eights, why I will suggest removing filler more often than adding it, and why an assessment sometimes ends with a shorter plan than the one you arrived expecting.
Depth in the things I do most
I have performed endolaser since 2016, working with the technique’s original platform for most of those years before moving to my current device. I have trained physicians in thread lifting for over five years. My regenerative work is done with two established laboratories — one Italian, operating since 2009 and in Dubai since 2013; one British, in Dubai since 2017.

Find the Answers You Need Before Your Appointment!
An examination and a conversation, not a treatment. I take a history — what bothers you, how long it has been there, and everything that has been injected before and when. Where there has been previous filler, or there is puffiness, asymmetry or unexplained heaviness, I scan the area with high-frequency ultrasound. You leave with a plan in order of priority, including anything I think should not be treated.
Sometimes, where the picture is straightforward and you want to proceed. Often not — particularly where there is old filler in the tissue, where the plan needs staging, or where the honest answer is that something should be removed before anything is added.
Because a face that has been injected before is not the face in the textbook. Ultrasound shows which layer product is sitting in, whether it has moved, and where the vessels actually run in you rather than in the diagram. It is also what makes correction possible when something has gone wrong elsewhere.
Yes, and a growing part of the practice. Midface volume loss and bone resorption are often more visible in men, and more visible again in men who train heavily and carry a low body fat percentage. The anatomy and the goals differ, and the assessment establishes them before anything is injected.
