Why the idea is attractive
Vesicles are not automatically youthful
The mouse studies
- They were done in mice, which differ from people in many ways, and results in mice often do not carry over.
- The vesicles came from young blood plasma, a mixed source, not from cultured stem cells as in most clinic products.
- The human plasma vesicles were tested in mice, not in people.
- A lifespan result in mice says nothing about how a person would feel, function or live.

What would change the picture
Questions to ask a clinic offering exosomes for ageing
- Which product is it, who made it, and on what regulatory basis is it used?
- Which human study supports the specific claim you are making, for this product?
- What exactly will be measured to show it is working, and when will we stop if it is not?
- How was the product isolated and tested for sterility and endotoxin, and can I see the batch documentation?
Frequently asked questions
There is no evidence that they do in people. Some mouse studies reported improved function and longer lifespan with vesicles from young animals,3,4 but those were research preparations in mice, not clinic products in humans.
In mice, two studies reported longer lifespan with vesicles from young animals.3,4 I am not aware of any human study showing that exosomes extend life, and I would be cautious of any clinic that says they do.
No. Stem cells are living cells. Exosomes are cell-free vesicles that cells release. For the difference and how I think about each, see IV exosome therapy in Dubai and stem cell therapy in Dubai.
There are early positive reports on elasticity, wrinkle depth, hydration and pigmentation, but a 2026 systematic review called for larger, standardised trials with longer follow-up before firm conclusions.5
That is not established. From what I could find, most research is in cell and animal models or in very early trials, and no exosome product is an established treatment for a neurological or developmental condition.
In a 2024 meta-analysis of 21 reports, serious adverse events were rare, but the studies were few and varied in product, dose and reporting.7 Safety also depends on the specific product, its source, manufacture and testing.
